Study on the working performance of vertical stuffing machine under different filling viscosities

Publish Time: 2024-11-25
1. The effect of filling viscosity on stirring effect

Fillings with different viscosities have different performances in the stirring process of the Vertical stuffing machine. Low-viscosity fillings, such as thin jams, have strong fluidity and can quickly form a circulation under the action of the stirring paddle. The stirring paddle can easily mix them evenly, but it is also easy to splash due to centrifugal force, resulting in filling loss and pollution of the machine's surrounding environment. High-viscosity fillings, such as thick red bean paste, have poor fluidity and require greater torque to overcome its internal viscous resistance during stirring. The shearing effect of the stirring paddle on it is relatively weak. If the stirring paddle is not designed properly, it is easy to cause uneven stirring of the filling, and there will be lumps or insufficiently mixed areas inside, affecting the quality of the filling. For example, for high-viscosity fillings, a spiral stirring paddle with a moderate speed can gradually roll the filling in and push it to roll in the barrel, improving the stirring effect.

2. Effect on the filling extrusion process

In terms of filling extrusion, viscosity is a key factor. Low-viscosity fillings are smoother when extruded, and require less extrusion pressure. They can pass through the outlet at a faster speed, and the extruded fillings are relatively regular in shape and have good continuity. However, high-viscosity fillings require higher extrusion pressure to push. If the pressure is insufficient, the fillings may be blocked at the outlet or the extrusion speed may be too slow and uneven. For example, when making high-viscosity lotus seed paste fillings, the screw of the stuffing machine needs to provide sufficient thrust, and the pitch and diameter of the screw must match the viscosity of the fillings, otherwise the fillings will be cut off or the extrusion volume will be unstable, affecting the efficiency and quality of subsequent food processing.

3. Changes in motor load and energy consumption

As the viscosity of the fillings increases, the motor load of the Vertical stuffing machine increases significantly. When stirring and extruding low-viscosity fillings, the motor consumes relatively low power and runs more easily. For high-viscosity fillings, the motor needs to output greater torque to maintain stirring and extrusion, resulting in an increase in motor current and a significant increase in energy consumption. For example, when mixing thin fruit fillings and thick five-nut fillings, the motor power when mixing five-nut fillings may be several times that when mixing fruit fillings. Long-term operation under high load not only increases production costs, but may also affect the service life of the motor. Therefore, when designing and using the stuffing machine, it is necessary to reasonably select the motor power according to the viscosity of the fillings, and consider the use of energy-saving control technology.

4. Machine wear and maintenance requirements

Different viscosity fillings have different degrees of wear on the Vertical stuffing machine. Low-viscosity fillings have good fluidity and relatively little friction on the internal parts of the machine. The wear of the machine is mainly concentrated on the stirring paddle, screw and inner wall of the barrel that are in direct contact with the fillings, and the wear rate is slow. During the mixing and extrusion process, the high-viscosity filling has a large viscosity, which increases the friction on each component, especially when the filling contains hard particles, such as nut crumbs, which will aggravate the wear of the components and shorten the service life of the components. This requires more frequent inspection and maintenance of the machine for high-viscosity fillings processing, and timely replacement of worn parts, such as using more wear-resistant alloy materials to make stirring paddles and screws, to ensure the filling machine's stable working performance and long service life when processing fillings with different viscosities.
